Join us for a virtual family activity celebrating el Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), inspired by Diego Rivera’s painting, La ofrenda, on view at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art through February 28, 2022 as part of the In Dialogue: Diego Rivera exhibition.
Art Packs are Available
If you need supplies, complimentary Art Packs containing tissue paper, pipe cleaners and string are available to pick up at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art during museum hours (Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.) while supplies last, or until October 30, 2021. One per person, first come first served.
Visit Diego Rivera’s La Ofrenda
Family Activity participants are invited to enjoy complimentary admission to see La Ofrenda in person. Please review our most current entry requirements prior to your visit. Reserved timed-entry tickets are not necessary. Please let our front desk staff know that you are visiting as part of the Family Activity. If you have questions please call 503-370-6855.
About the Presenters
Mitzi Martinez grew up in Los Angeles, CA. and currently lives in Newberg, OR. She works as an event technician at the Chehalem Cultural Center. Mitzi attended George Fox University and received a BA in Business Administration and an M.S. in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University. She enjoys making art, teaching and building connections with others in the community. In her spare time, Mitzi likes listening to podcasts, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and friends.
Stephanie Lopez grew up in Los Angeles, California and now calls Oregon home and works at George Fox University. She enjoys creating art, taking trips to the coast and enjoying a meal from local food trucks.
