48 hours notice is appreciated, especially if you have scheduled a docent-led tour.

3. How Long Is The Tour?

Teacher or chaperone-led tours should plan for about 45 minutes to an hour. Groups with planned activities may schedule a longer visit in other galleries.

4. Is Photography Allowed?

Photography without flash is permitted in designated galleries and for works from the museum’s permanent collections.

5. Where Do Buses Park?

Free parking is available in the stadium parking lot adjacent to Bush Park. From the museum, travel east on State Street and turn right at the next street, which is Winter Street. Go all the way down to Mission (Winter Street dead ends here) and the lot is across the street.

6. May We Bring Our Stuff In?

Limited unattended storage is available for coats. We recommend that backpacks, bags, electronics are left on the bus or at school. Pencils ONLY are allowed in the galleries; clipboards are required for written projects during teacher- or chaperone-led tours.

7. Where Do We Eat Lunch?

The museum does not have a lunchroom; there is a park available across the street, at the Capitol.

8. What If We Arrive Late?

Please call us as soon as possible. If there is not a group scheduled for the next time slot the group may continue for the full hour tour.

There are no early entries. It is important to stay on schedule, and gallery space is limited. If travel plans change, let us know.
