Evening for Educators

Educators are invited to join Elizabeth Garrison, The Cameron Paulin Curator of Education, for a workshop centered around the exhibition, A Contemporary Bestiary at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art. This workshop is designed to help teachers prepare students for a field trip to the exhibition, as well as broaden curriculum concepts for use in the classroom. The exhibition continues through Dec. 21.

The Rainbow Creek Dancers

Admission to the dance performance is complimentary, although tickets are required.

The Hallie Ford Museum of Art is pleased to present one of Canada's most renowned Haida dance troupes, the Rainbow Creek Dancers, in conjunction with the exhibition A Contemporary Bestiary. During this special evening performance, enjoy traditional Haida dances and stories, as well as the stunning masks created by brothers Robert and Reg Davidson, two of Canada’s foremost Haida artists, along with the award winning vocals of Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson, whose life’s work and passion has been to preserve the Haida songs of her culture.

Tickets
Beginning September 2, individuals may obtain up to four complimentary tickets on a first-come, first-served basis at the museum's front desk (or by calling 503-370-6855 to place tickets into will call).

Museum Members Appreciation Evening
Members are invited to RSVP for reserved seating tickets and a Member's Appreciation Evening reception which will take place at the museum on Saturday Oct. 4, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Family Activity Day

Free and open to the public

Visit the exhibition and find inspiration amidst a myriad of creatures. Enjoy storytelling, and then bring your young artists to the lobby for animal-related art projects. Many families have made this event an annual part of their museum experience.
