Columbia Gorge, Oregon/Washington
With two NARM destinations this can be one very ambitious day-trip or two separate day-trips. As you travel to your first destination, enjoy the stunningly scenic Columbia Gorge with its waterfalls and historic highway. When you arrive at Cascade Locks cross the Bridge of the Gods to reach the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center in Stevenson. For your next destination continue east for about another hour and 15 minutes to reach the Maryhill Museum housed in a mansion that was built in 1914. Don't miss the Stonehenge Memorial just a bit further down the road. On the way back home, stop in at the Bonneville Dam Hatchery and say hello to one of Oregon's most famous residents, Herman the Sturgeon, who is approximately 10 feet long!
